Cabbage Rolls

1 head of cabbage
2-3 pounds of lean hamburger
1 pouch of minute rice
1 can of Bavarian Kraut
1 onion, finely chopped
1 green pepper, finely chopped
1 can/jar of spaghetti sauce
1 egg

In a large pot, boil water. Peel outer leaves off of the cabbage (approx. 12-15 leaves). Put leaves in boiling water for about 3 minutes so leaves will be pliable.

Boil minute rice. In a large bowl, combine egg, hamburger, salt, pepper, onions, green pepper and rice. Mix together well. Make a meatball shape and wrap with a blanched cabbage leaf. Place in a saucepan. Continue until all cabbage leaves are used. Any remaining meat mixture can be made in to meatballs and placed on top of the cabbage rolls. Cut remaining cabbage up in thin slices and place on top of other ingredients. Add a small amount of water and bring to a boil on the stove, medium heat. After about 45 minutes, add 1 can/jar of spaghetti sauce and 1 can of Bavarian Kraut, drained. Continue simmering for 15-20 minutes or until meat is done and cabbage is tender. Serve with mashed potatoes or noodles. Enjoy!
