This recipe is from a restaurant called War Eagle Mill here in Arkansas and they are YUMMY!! I have made these MANY times!
War Eagle Mill Hush Puppies
2 cups cornmeal
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 cup onions, chopped
Mix liquid ingredients and add to dry. Stir in chopped onions. Drop by Tablespoons into hot deep fat. 375 degrees, turning until golden brown.
